From the hill down there is an expanse of olive trees
that inflame of silver effect the land of ostuni.
That is a contrast colour with the blue sky and sea.
The coast stretches for many kilometres and this
jagged coastline is covered by the green mediterranean
maquis. Tourist could choose between a lot of sandy
beach or cliffs.
The foreshortening of the coast near the north of
ostuni is formed by a whole fossil dunes covered with
the maquis. In this place, there are beaches like
"lido bosco verde", "lido morelli", "il pilone" this
places.
Rosa Marina is the most famous village of the coast,
inside you could find a lot of houses with all
services, a really good place where you spend a
peaceful holiday.
Not fare, you find "Monticelli" another turistic
village near to the coast that keeps some ruins from
the bronze age.
"Diana Marina" is another small village and
"Villanova" is the centre, maybe for his position in
Ostuni coast. His name was "Petrolla" and once time
ago his historic importance was made by his good
position of landing port where there is a small
fortress of the of the foureenth century.
From the immensity of sandy shores you arrive to the
creeks of "Gorgognolo" above all "Costa Merlata", that
takes his name by the shape of the rocks.
Then "Santa Lucia" and continuing towards "Torre
Pozzella", made up of small bay and a guardtower of
the foureent century.
The last coast of ostuni is Lamaforca a beautiful
beach with white sand and a famous international
